BOSS Breakfast Series

The mission of the BOSS Breakfast Series it to provide business owners information toward a systematic approach to succession and exiting of the business.  We start with looking at the business owner and end with the various exit options available.  This monthly series will take the business owner through the process of preparing themselves and the business for an successful exit.  

Who Should Attend

Business owners looking to improve on their business with an eye toward building their business with transferrable value which can be built to sell.  The business owner does not need to have a current plan to succeed or exit their business to optimize their business for a successful exit. The business owner should have the “freedom of choice”.

  1. May 7, 2024 (Tuesday) - Risk and Coverage.  A business needs to be protected from the inherent risks of its business activities.  All business are unique and have different risks.  Commercial insurance is unique and have different coverages. Too often the business owner does not meet regularly with their insurance broker to make sure their insurance is adequate for their risk.  Michael Cespedes will provide an explanation of the various lines of commercial insurance, including cyber insurance.  

  2. June 4, 2024 (Tuesday) - SBA Financing as a Funding Option. The SBA has several programs available to fund a business succession. Dennis Wagner will discuss various funding options using the SBA Programs. Using third party financing such as the SBA programs minimize the owner’s need to offer key employees or family members owner financing.
